Ph.D in Electronics and Communication
Electronics is one of the sub trades of electrical engineering and the telecommunication is an addition in later days. It generally deals with the signal orientation and processing, Very-large-scale integration (VLSI) and modern communication systems. The specializations are Analog Electronics, Control Systems, Neural and Fuzzy Control, Remote Sensing, Virtual Prototyping, Nonlinear Optics, Semiconductor Surfaces and Interfaces, Nano electronics and Photonics engineering.
There are two options for the enrollment of this program. Either you can enroll yourself after the B.Tech in electronics and telecommunication or after the completion of your M.Tech. For the first option you have to face the GATE examination with a percentile of 99.50 or more. But for that you need an academic percentage of more than 75%. In case of the second option 55% marks in your M.Tech is necessary.
After the Ph.D. program anybody is eligible in any engineering college as faculty stuff which will give you an opportunity of research in your own level. Beside those semiconductor industries, power generating industries, hardware industries, VLSI design industries, civil aviation industries, telecommunication industries recruits them in their research and development departments. Some of the popular job titles are network planning engineer, software analyst, electronics and communication consultants and project officer.
